Counsellors Ready for Parent Group Work

Since November 2008 the counsellors have been training in readiness to be able to facilitate the Parent Groups that MT will begin in 2009. Jan Cooper and Beverley Costa were the facilitators of the training which was conducted over several weekends. The overall objective of the Parent Groups is to facilitate participants in rediscovering a good model of communication between generations for their own families, while considering the effects of changing cultures and migration on family life. The need for such groups has been voiced by many referrers. A flyer and letter have been sent to specific referrers and we hope to begin the groups shortly.
In February 2009 the training was concluded and the counsellors were presented with certificates.
