Grace is the Chair for Mothertongue. She has 11 years experience of consultancy in the not-for-profit sector with expertise in coaching and facilitation, people and organisational development, strategic planning and implementation.
Gordon Ross (Treasurer)
Gordon is an ex-Finance Director of Dell Computers and he uses his considerable expertise to make sure we are financially sound.
Simon Godefroy
Simon is a registered social worker, and brings skills from working with Social Services' mental health project and crisis team.
Monica Collings
Monica is a trained social worker who worked as a manager developing strategies for Reading Borough Council and supported Mothertongue with funding proposals. We value her experience of the statutory sector.
Gail Treves-Brown
Gail is our newest volunteer and is joining the Management Committee too. Gail is a qualified ESOL Tutor with 13 years experience of teaching. She has facilitated basic English classes for clients from November to March 2010.

Beverley Costa is the founder and director of Mothertongue and has a significant impact on the organisation as a whole. She has been the organisation's main inspiration and embodies everything that Mothertongue is. Mothertongue has striven to provide a service of excellence to its clients, and at every turn it has been the needs of the client that are put first and foremost. This ethos has been instilled and absorbed by everyone who has either volunteered for or been employed by Mothertongue. It is simply what we do and that has permeated from Beverley. Her leadership principles have encouraged excellent performance and the desire to go ‘the extra mile’ to ensure a positive solution.
